Default 2023 Interior cabin high pitched frequency noise?

Hello and Good Evening from Pennsylvania.

My wife and I recently took delivery of our 23 Defender 110 SE and I must say, I love it. I was hesitant at first as I have never owned a Land Rover.

I am looking for insight, am I crazy? When the radio is off and the cabin is quiet, I am hearing a very high pitched noise that’s driving new crazy.

I am curious to hear if there are any other Defender owners experiencing this?

Cheers!
Nick

well with standard road noise after 2200 miles in our 110 SE I didn't hear it, but I'm also 50 and probably burnt most of my high end hearing out as a teenager listening to hair metal.

I’m noticing more posts like this. Quite concerning as that sounds very annoying. There’s another thread around here with a few users experiencing the same thing.

Also owning a Jeep Wrangler, I have no issues with the wind and road noise. However, the high frequency pitch is and could be enough to drive me to trade the 110.

I posted on the other thread as well. I’ve had my 110 about 6 months and now notice the high frequency buzzing anytime the radio is off. Keep us posted if you discover a fix and I’ll do the same.

To clarify, is this all the time or just when driving? If driving, my Tacoma had a similar issue and it was with the trim around the windshield. It created a whistle like you could do by blowing on a tight piece of paper. They have to take the trim off and replace it to fix it. It might be something to look at. Go around your windshield and see if anything isn’t completely flush or looks like it is sticking out.

No definitely not wind related. As soon as the screen boots up, you hear it. If anything the road noise helps drown it out some.

exactly what KidWagon2 said. This is a noise that’s prominently heard when sitting still.. driveway, red lights…

sent an email off to my local dealer this morning.. awaiting a response.
