Have experienced this sound twice now in my ‘23 V8 110.

The 2nd time it happened I had already read this thread, so I was able to do some troubleshooting to test your theories.

1) it’s not to do with the alternator. I stopped at a light, engine auto stop doesn’t affect the sound, and neither does gently revving the motor to different engine speeds in neutral.

2) I tried turning speakers on and off, and rebooting pivi pro screen. No effect.

3) I tried turning off the HVAC fan.. that did seem to have an effect. After turning it off and then turning it back on low, the sound seemed to fade out within a minute.

ill continue to test if the issue reoccurs. It should be noted that most of my drives have been noise free. 2500 miles on the clock.

l think it's to do with the HVAC.

l can get a whistling noise from mine by turning up the fan and closing most of the air vents.

Also
After you've used the climate control and switch to manual, the system defaults to all motorised vents closed, which causes a whistle.

lf you go into the manual HVAC (top left button on the console) and open one or more of the vents, the noise will disappear.

Default Hey

In my Defender 90 MY23.5 It was exactly the same. They have changed a couple of A pillar.
s covers, but still the same deal. They receive a technical bulletin just two weeks ago.

now is much better because I am here anymore the high pitch noise, but from my point of you is still noisy over 60 mph. A lot of turbulence noise.

have they give you any solution yet?

I wonder if it's the little fan that 'samples' the HVAC air temp - isn't that the thing behind the grille by the start/stop switch? I think it's round with a little grille on it? Maybe stick your finger over that hole and see if changes the sound.

I am curious to hear if there are any other Defender owners experiencing this?

I am very interested to know if they have finally resolved the problem and if so, what was the cause.

Default High pitch cabin noise

I have the same problem with my 2023 V8 110. there is an annoying high pitch whine (almost like a ground loop whine) when driving between 30 & 40 MPH. Just took it top the dealer, they had it for a week and told me its "normal"... WTF??
Too annoying for people to live with. Anyone have a fix?

In my case, they have only partially solved it, and that after more than five weeks at the dealership and at least 3 visits. Part “of the solution” has been to fill the A-pillars with one of these foams that expand inside. That way, it no longer generates that flute-like whistle. However, it's still noisy, it's like the windshield isn't sealed properly.
I have sent three emails to JLR North America, and have not received any written response as of today. How can they say that it is normal in a car that is considered Premium brand ?

Default High pitched whistle?

I have a 23 RR. In the fall I started to hear a loud pitched whistle mostly when in idle. Now it’s getting really bad and doing in when im
driving too. It’s really loud in the inside as well. It’s heard from the rear drivers side and it’s really loud in the cabin!
