Ordered a ‘24 90 V8 and it’s a few weeks out from delivery. Spoke with the dealer and they too confirmed the load tray should be included so good to know that’s not likely.
My question is, will the 90 V8 still have the fold flat seats if they have heated/cooled back seats? My build picture shows this but I can’t find a definitive answer and I’m thinking no because of wires and aircon tubes of sort??
I bet they will be heated cooled... I have the climate rear seats in my 110 and they fold up and back and whatever "flat" ish. I haven't seen any tubes going from the car to seat, just wiring harnesses. I am pretty sure the cooling / heating fan whatever is going on are all internal to the seat. So hopefully you are in luck if they are the same design in the 90 (which I'd bet they are).
Does the Loadspace Floor Tray interfer with the air compressor?
Just received my 2024 Defender 90 (I don't pick up until next week) which did not arrive with the standard loadspace tray (seems to be a theme) so the dealership has ordered it (backordered - I'm a list with many others waiting for this). I'm wondering if anyone knows if the loadspace tray will interfere with the air compressor. It seems it might be an issue given the location of the air compressor.
Dealer and I signed an agreement to send to me at no cost once received, still waiting….bought my 2024 Defender last September. Have yet to see one installed any where. The folding rear seat and the flat tray were decision makers for buying a 2024.
Did a mock up of what it would actually be and hold. Not much. In fact, this is all the stuff I have in the fold up nylon cubby thing that came with the D90. It is just too shallow to really be of any true use. Yes it would be hidden, but really nobody can see what's back there anyhow. Its main benefit would be a floor leveler with the seats down. Which I have items that fulfill the same function. I suppose the JLR price for this will end up at around $979 and when the AliExpress ones come out, they will clock in around, most likely $175~250. There is the problem of raising the floor level, I do fit my bike in back, especially when I go off road (I hate really covered in dust bikes, makes my teeth hurt to hear the chain). Raising it, even that much, makes it nearly impossible to get my bike in then. I am not going to bother making one. If the knock off ones are cheap, maybe, but I think I can live without it.
Thinking of buying a '24 or '25 Defender 90 and have been researching them and I came across this post because you speak of having your bike inside the truck. I enjoy skiing and biking, and like you, would love to be able to lock my bike up inside the truck. Are you able to get a 29" mtb inside the defender 90 and if so how? I'm assuming, front wheel off, dropper post down, and a fork mounted rack inside. Do you have to move the passenger seat up in order to fit? Do you ski, I'm guessing I would need a ski box on the roof to carry 176-188cm skis.
On my 2024, the flat floor box/platform makes the floor flat, but is also additional storage. Great to have.
Also for Defender owners, I also use the storage under the entire Floor of the Defender. Just remove the tire jack compartment to access.
