So I've read the threads about the A-pillar issue and thought to myself, surely they would've fixed this by the 4th model year. Nope, 400 miles in and the driver's side A-pillar is flapping around like nobody's business.

Also, wtf Land Rover. How is this incredibly solvable problem still happening?

 

I'm curious what might cause this for some and not others. Is it just an occasional assembly issue? Certain weather conditions? My 2022 has been fine and I've done cross-country drives (in high heat), been off-road, and just a lot of errand running, and no issues. I do garage mine, though it also gets crazy hot in the garage in the summer, so I don't assume heat is responsible. Guess I've been lucky.

 

@D-Fens My 2022 has the A pillar noise and it divers me nuts. Waiting for another common issue to pop up before I go in for an appointment. I have noticed that in cold weather (below 40 degrees f ) it is much worse. When it is warm I do not notice it at all...heavier air?

 

I’ve been waiting for nearly three months for my dealer to get back to me on fixing this A-pillar issue. They claim the parts are on back order, and I’m still waiting. And I’m going have them force a software update since I’m still on 3.3.2

It is disappointing to hear that the A-Pillar issue persists even in the 2024 models. It's baffling how such a seemingly solvable problem continues to crop up. Thanks for sharing the link to the forum thread; hopefully, the fix mentioned there will do the trick for you during your appointment. I'm crossing my fingers that Land Rover gets their act together soon because you shouldn't have to deal with something like this in a brand new vehicle. Hang in there!

 

I have a 2023 D90, no A pillar issues, strange.

 

Very disappointing that the A pillar issue keeps happening. Likely, it is poor quality control on the assembly line. Take it to the dealer and let them fix it.

 

4.5k miles on my 10/23 2024 build and no issue with the pillars.

 

I have had the issue on the right side. No big deal. Noise only when driving 140km/h or more and mostly depending on strong sidewinds. Had it in the shop for a new windscreen the other day and mentioned it so they fixed it. Would have fixed it myself but haven't been that bothered by it. 2024 110 p400e
