22 inch? Yes or No?

22s look amazing to me, but in my experience a thin strip of rubber between a pretty rim and the roads in the united states are a great way to spend money on new ones a lot. Not sure where you are in TX but in my travels TX roads aren't any smoother than other roads in the US, save maybe SC which was like driving on washboards
I'd like to drive more off road than on, but haven't much yet, so I went with the smallest I could get which were 20s.

I have owned several cars with 22's...all about the size of the tire on the rim and the sidewall....

Most run 275/45/22 or aftermarket 285/45/22. A 45 series sidewall is more than plenty in everyday use. not so much for real off-roading
my previous x5m on 22’s was running 25 series in the rear.

I had the factory L663 22” wheels in gloss black on my D90 that I replaced with a set of Urban 22” wheels with Firestone Destination AT2 tires upon delivery.
The factory 22” wheels ride great, and so do my current set of Urban 22” wheels. I am also thoroughly impressed with the Firestone Destination AT2s. They are super quiet, handle potholes and road hazards very well and they look great.
BTW, I’m selling my L663 wheels and tires if anyone is interested. They are brand new with less than 100 miles on them. DM me for details.
