Default Adding 2nd Row Heated Seats

I screwed up. I factory ordered a 23.5’ Defender 130 X-Dynamic SE back in April with virtually every option checked, including cold climate package. Somehow I had assumed the rear (2nd row) seats would be heated, but I’ve since come to realize they’re not.

Has anyone installed heated rear seats after the fact? Wiring already in place? Are the existing climate controls the same…maybe requiring a software update to enable, or is this all wishful thinking?

Default Have the same question

Bought a demo car and it’s missing rear heated seat option. Would love to have this retrofitted to combat cold Canadian weather 😅

It’s likely the only “back in the day we had it so hard” story your gen-z kids are going to have. Don’t deprive them of that one thing.

I'm moving from warm to cold climate so need to think about it as well. I assume easy and extremely expensive way would be to replae the seats alltogether, to get something like this I assume it's a must:

Cheaper and more tricky option is to just replace the cushions or even install the heating elements inside the cushions..

Plan Z is something 3rd party like these: https://www.britpart.com/parts/seats...t-seat-heaters tbh I would rather not tho.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I've decided to go with the Family Pack Upgraded with the Climate seats for the rear cooling. If I get this option, does anyone know if on the 2025 models, I would still have the power outlet in the rear? I really wanted to have that to charge drill batteries or laptops, etc and I thought I had read somewhere that with rear cooling assist the outlet was removed.

Yes - the rear cooling assist is on the driver's side in the cargo area, where the domestic plug is on the passenger side.

This got me thinking if one can add just the cooling bits to a 2023.5 Defender that already has heating in the back, but not cooling?
