This is so maddening that it exists on the v8… Wouldn’t have bought the car if I cared at all about fuel efficiency.

Jeep removed the feature on it’s 392 v8 Wrangler for comparison

I’ll join in for Dallas!

The hardware for adaptive cruise control is already installed on all models, including base, and just needs the software activation?

I had Garret add adaptive cruise last year. I’ve had multiple updates and even a dealer fix to the pivi sign in, adaptive cruise and the other updates are still there.

it looks like you guys have figured out how to activate more things. I might have to make another trip out there.

About start/stop…do people really want that feature disabled forever when all you have to do is hit the button to disable it?

It's more about "memory". When I set my time, it remembers it from the last journey. When I set my seat, ditto. The PITA is that it resets at each ignition. And, yeah - you're right. It's not much to have to each and every time I get in the vehicle if I don't want it. But, it's a personal choice.

The first time it bricked my Defender and I had to do a complete reset when the light turned green, it was a really disturbing event. After about four times that I had to restart the vehicle because it wasn't working properly like my other vehicles - I'm done. I no longer trust it and EACH time I get in, I'm going to turn it off. If it worked like my other vehicles with it, I wouldn't care. But from now on - I do.

So now, I'm going to try to avoid the next religious war of should it be automatic for the goodness of the world vs. the freedom to choose it.
