Yes, it's called auto stop/start. One of the problems with their being less LR customers, is that no one has developed a hack for this. BMW, Jeep, many other automakers, this was addressed by multiple companies. My Wrangler has a $100 piggyback device. It works perfect:

Stop start p300 can be permanently turned on or off from 20 to 22's. Maybe on 23's.

Stop start wire unplug on p400s does disable heated steering wheel so thats the only option.

Understanding the known issues with program changes is not unreasonable. People need to make informed decisions... Turing off auto start/stop is a good example. Losing heated steering wheel AND heated seats is a trade off most won't make on that particular item.

Personally, I'm OK with some of the changes, not the others, and will be selecting options accordingly when purchasing...

I totally understand and respect where you’re coming from. I think the options you want will be attainable. There is a stop start software setting but I haven’t gotten it to work on p400’s. I’m willing to keep trying and maybe it’ll work on your vehicle. If not hopefully the rest of what I’m offering is appealing to you. Cheers.

Not after 30 vehicles upgraded. When the pivi pushes an update it only updates whatever module it wants, it doesn't make changes to your master file like I do. I've had 3-5 pivi pushed sota's and all of my upgrades have stayed.

 

If he’s comes to NY/NJ I’d do part of the group buy, $1000 plus part of the travel expenses sounds good to me.
