Default Adjusting hood alignment

I've noticed the hood on my D90 is not evenly aligned with the main body when closed. One side has virtually no gap between the hood and body when closed, while the other side has a noticeable gap. I didn't recall this always being the case. Is there a relatively easy way to adjust this myself or do I need to take it into the dealer? Thanks for any insights.

You could try to adjust the hood, 3 bolts left, 3 bolts right. ( 1 each side is under the rubber )
Centre punch the original location first, so you could go back to original position.

Fender adjustment involves more wrenching, the 3 top bolts are easy , don't scratch the spray paint on them, cover them first up.

Yep. What Defendit said about adjusting does indeed work to move the hood left and right somewhat. I've done it as mine came from new with a gap that was larger on one side than the other. You should probably not have to fiddle with the fenders unless the car has been in a mishap. Just the hood hinges.

Thanks for your replies. It's sounding a bit more involved than I hoped so will probably just ask the dealership about doing it
