Aftermarket Air Bags
Hello everyone. I have been towing my 23' travel trailer with my Defender 110, and the Defender tows it pretty well; however, it does not have air suspension and there is some trailer sag. The trailer has a tongue weight of about 580 pounds and when my gear is in the trailer it's a bit under 5,000 pounds in total. Are there any aftermarket options for adding some air bags to the rear for leveling when towing? I have of course done some searching on the internets but I have not found anything. Thanks!

Thanks! It’s a pretty common thing to do and there are kits for quite a few trucks and SUV’s, I just have not found any for our Defenders.
Not suggested when you have air suspension. It is ok for coils. I run one often.
turns out my BIL’s solution was vehicle specific as you suggested. I was totally unfamiliar with that as an option - sorry but I couldn’t find any defender specific solutions either.
Thank you very much for looking!
Honestly -- just sell it and get one with Air. The difference for towing is quite noticeable and I think it's much safer (sorry for those of you with coils on your Deefers, not saying they are inferior for offloading, onroading, but I would give the feedback that air suspension is better for towing).
I've driven both a P300 110 w/ coils and P400 110 w/ air, with tow rigs behind ....and after years of air suspension vehicles, I wouldn't not have leveling air suspension on a tow vehicle.
Side note: My 'use case' is normally vintage cars (80's Porsches, maybe an old M3, old M-B) on aluminum car hauler trailers - to give you an idea of what I'm usually towing.
Edit: thought of this after I posted. Or just get the aftermarket kit / springs like you're asking about, but I'm not yet aware of a good option for the L663. Haven't really looked either but likely a bit of a compromise.
