Air suspension / Extended height
Hello everyone,
As a happy owner of a 2024 D250 commercial vehicle - I use my car as a farm vehicle and for my small outdoor business. My Defender goes off road more or less on a daily basis and I am very happy with the capabilities.
I can read from the manual that the vehicle apparently have an “extended off road height” that is adding further ground clearance than the 7,5 cm you get by putting the vehicle in “off road height”. According to the manual this extended clearance can be activated by pressing the brake pedal and the off road height button simultaneously for 3 sec. If I follow this instruction, my vehicle will not raise further off the ground. Have anyone tried activating the extended height? What am I doing wrong?

It will only activate extended height when the vehicle senses its grounded, wading in deep water, or lowered onto an obstacle. Once its grounded, then you can activate the brake and press the button for it to go into extended height.
You can manually put it in extended height by putting a jack or a 2x4 and lower the suspension, it will lower onto the jack thinking it grounded itself, and then you can activate extended height.
You can also get a GAP tool and use that to adjust the ride height.
Here's a video explaining how you can manually activate it.

Aha! I missed the fact that the vehicle needs to be stuck on something as this mode apparently is automatically enabled - then the brake pedal/lift buton maneuver can be done as a second step to lift the vehicle. (It does actually state that in the manual - provided that you read it correctly….)
Thank you very much for your time here - much appreciated! 👍😉
