I'd like to convert the 12V outlet in the front of our Defender to be always-on. I already did this to the rear outlet - that was easy (jumper a relay) - now I'd like the same at the front. I don't want to make any of the other outlets always-on as they will have an appreciable battery drain.
Any ideas?

 

I did both in front. Just wired them direct after the Battery Monitor System 12v positive.
They are BCM controlled, so just cut that 12v + wire ( isolate) and connect your new 12v + always live.
No problems after 6 months.
Did also change the 12v cigarette lighter socket for an USB C . So on the dash tray USB A always live and on the console USB C always live.
In the cargo my Cigarette lighter socket is also always live, wired the same.
