Why is the Android Auto implementation in my 2024 Defender so flaky? It doesn't connect to my phone at least 40% of the time. I know that it's not my phone as I rented a Ford transit van for several days last week and Android Auto automatically connected every time.

 

I don't have that issue, the connection is quick and automatic.
Perhaps your system would benefit from a software update, or minimally a factory reset?
