Another fun issue - no sound from speakers in front
So glad I looked this up before a call to the Dealership
My 2023 with Bluetooth link to Apple Car Play suddenly sounded like the sub woofer had gone and after playing about with things nothing changed, I then realised no sound coming from indicators or any warnings (fortunately the garage door is intact as I had no sounds from reversing!)
I read this thread, turned off my phone, re started car and everything back to normal

The only “fix” I know is to switch off and lock the car for 1-2min. Really annoying when it happens on a long drive.
Next time it happens I’ll check if AirPlay or Bluetooth is responsible. I’ll try to fix it by disconnecting and reconnecting the phone to the car.

Purchased a 2023.5 Discovery V in March and noticed this problem within the first month. Random speakers go out and has been driving me crazy. When I adjust the sound balance, music plays outside of the opposite speaker. A Pivi reset doesn’t work. The only remedy is to shut the vehicle off, lock it, and wait 10 minutes.
I only use Bluetooth so I’m sure that Apple CarPlay/Android Auto isn’t causing my issue as I don’t have the vehicle set up for either. Normally these outages happen every other day.
Just dropped it at the dealer today to get looked at and sent the advisor videos of the issue. Hopefully I’ll get an answer as to why this is a recurring problem. I’ll loop back should I receive a proper fix.

I took videos each time the speakers would invert the sound and sent it to the service advisor—documenting that it occurred both while playing music over the radio and bluetooth.
Taking the videos were really annoying, but wound up helping me out. I would go to the speaker settings and push the sound to each of the speakers to show the issue. As an example, I’d push sound to the drivers side and sound would come out of the right passenger speaker.
The vehicle was in and out of the dealership 3 times for software updates before ultimately sitting at the dealer for the whole month of August. Finally, on the last go around the dealer (who was awesome and really worked with me) sent the videos to corporate, who recommended that they replace the amplifier. Replacing the amplifier has completely fixed the issue.
My dealer said they only heard of these issues happening with Defenders and my Discovery was the first one to come in with this issue… probably because the dealer sells so few Discos.
