This has happened to me a # of times as well. 2023 110 X. Took it to the dealer first time it happened and tried the normal Pivi reset etc. After no results Tech disconnected the hot lead on the battery. It worked, speakers worked as expected. I have had to disconnect my battery to get full function of the speakers a few times since then....I keep a 1/4" ratchet with I think a 10 mm socket in the truck just in case....hope this helps.

Happened several times to me also on my 2023.5 110S. No amount of PIVI resets help, but a regular turn off of the car, get out close the doors lock the vehicle, unlock and restart does the trick for me. If you think your ears are playing tricks, do what DiscoVtom did, go to sound settings and move the sound to each of the four corners, it’s like the logic is flipped front is back and back is front and nothing sounds good.

Hopefully LR will send a service bulletin that a new amp will fix but I suspect it’s just the LandRover electrical Gremlins at work.

Bump of this thread. 2024 Defender 110 X. Same issue it seems as everyone else. 700 miles on this thing, I had a bad feeling about buying a damn LR.

Newbie here. I've had my MY23 110S P300 for 2 weeks and this happened to me yesterday. Glad I found this thread as it confirms it is a known issue. The lack of indicators, and muffled speakers / reversed balance control happened right after I unplugged a USB C cable from the port on the shelf in front of the passenger. Probably coincidence, but maybe worth mentioning.

As mentioned above, these symptoms I believe are completely related to the amplifier. Even before reading these thread I had a strong assumption.

Are you still disconnecting the battery? If so, thats ridiculous on a sub 100k suv.

Just over 1500 miles and hit this tonight. Tried resetting Pivi while I was driving, no luck. Got to where I was going and found this thread. Took a video of it in action before I shut things down, thanks for the idea. Basically speakers are inverted when playing with the fader, quite strange. Parked and locked and everything was just fine when I got in the next time.

I’ve had this same issue multiple times and it’s always fixed by disabling Apple CarPlay. Then, when I get a chance, I hard reboot my iPhone and then reconnect to CarPlay and it’s not an issue. I’ve had multiple issues with CarPlay and Pivi. I haven’t yet correlated if it’s happening after iPhone updates (which are frequent) but this is my suspicion since I rarely reboot my phone.
