Admittedly, I searched for all 5 minutes before giving up.

2023 defender, 2” lift rods, and 20”s.

Looking for biggest size tire option but with no rubbing.

I’ve tried 33” x 10.5” BFGs on the last defender and it was too much rubbing.

Stock tires are 255/60 R20 (32” x 10”) and look pretty big already.

LOL, so 33 x 10.5 is too big, and 32 x 10 is OEM size, and you’re looking for a size in between those two? Maybe if there’s a 32.5 x 10.25.

Hey, I’m just laughing with ya here, but it sounds like you’ve already answered your own question. I don’t know of any 33s that are skinnier than 10.5, so if what you tried already doesn’t fit without rubbing and you already have 2” lift rods, you just need to stick with OEM sizing.

For what it’s worth, I have 20s but also have a set of OEM 18” steelies. Stock tire on that wheel from LR is 255/70-18. I tried a 275/70–18 and it rubbed terribly, in access/normal/lifted heights, with and without 30mm spacers, with and without 1.5” lift rods. Plus, it looked too big to my eye (see picture.)

Sold those and went with OEM size, but in an aggressive tread (this is my actual off-roading tire set.) Even though they are the OEM nominal size (255/70-18), they measure out to exactly 1/2” taller than my OEM set of 20” tires. They fit (without lift or spacers) but I wouldn’t want to even have 265/70 because it’s that close. There is just not very much room built into that wheelwell. JLR doesn’t seem to want you running bigger tires.

I’ve got the 255/70 R18 steel wheel/tire set up on my LR4. Those baby’s are tall,

that’s max lift with gap tool

 

275/55R20 is the biggest you can go without lifts. It's also the snow tire recommended size in the manual for 20s.

im trying 265/60 R20 BFG KO2 on this rig. It’s got a 2” lift. Should be picking up today so I’ll update with the rubbing situation.

 

I also tried 33’s with no luck. Had to go down to 275/55R20. I just got the truck back late yesterday so haven’t tested all the rub spots yet. They did trim my mud flaps a bit to help. I’ve got the 1.5 lift rods installed as well.
