Any way to easily disable backup alarm beeper with bike rack?
My Frontier pickup has a button on the dash. When you have a trailer or bike rack that freaks the backup alarm into going crazy, you can push the button and it will silence the alarm until you turn the truck off and restart.
I assumed all vehicles would have such a thing. Is it buried in a menu that I can’t find? Searching the web didn’t get me anywhere except for older Disco owners asking the same question.
Thanks!

If you turn the volume down for that backup session, does it stay down until you remember to put it back up, meaning you have no backup warning after you remove your bike rack? That was what was nice about the Frontier — you didn’t have to think about it; stab the button, it’s silent. Stop the truck to unhook trailer or bike rack, when you restart the truck the beeper is automatically re-enabled.
Wife got back, I tested and it works great. It’s not really volume button, i.e., it toggles between off and on so you don’t have to hold it down while the volume gets lower and lower. And, once you stop the truck and restart, the beeper is restored without effort from you.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
