Just got it last night.

 

I got the update pushed last night in Chicagoland. Everything loaded fine, but the weather app doesn't really work and just crashes when I try to run it.

 

I’ m on 4.1.1 and its working good. I don’t see a reason to change that with an “upgrade”.

 

This update screwed up my rearview camera when going into reverse the camera screen goes blank.. What a joke.

 

Clearly that sucks but must be - yet another - intermittent / random problem that seems to show up when LR posts software updates. For example my rear view camera survived this (and previous) updates just fine. And after 24 hours I’m now seeing the weather app reappeared again (it disappeared and reappeared as reported by many in this thread). Clearly LR software engineers may be have dipped into the Sherry wine when compiling :-(

 

Anyone notice updated mapping data with this install? A recently completed road I’ve been driving now correctly shows up in the navigation app - previously showed driving “off road”.

 

Got 4.1.4 update and *** now *** I know why they sent this update out. This popped up on 1st startup.

Hilariously when I pressed the button on the screen it did nothing. If they were smart it would have given me a QR code to the website to pay $500.

 

My online pack runs out today. I don’t know how I managed to find the fortitude, but so far I’ve been able to resist JLR’s generous offer to renew for the low, low price of 160 per year.

 

Remind me what we will miss out of if we don't renew? Mine is up in another year (maybe this June??). I'm hoping they turn off all updates and telematics, but I'm sure that's not it.
