I’m doing a similar trip right now, started in LA and heading up to Whistler. If you have time, stop in Hood River and ride at Post Canyon, Rocky Point near Portland, and Dry Hill in Port Angeles is great as well.

A couple of suggestions for your trip once you get through Vancouver
- Enjoy the drive on the Sea to Sky from Vancouver to Whistler. It's an amazing experience.
- Eagle watching in Brackendale by The Watershed Grill
- Brunch at Fergie's
- Coffee from Cloud Burst Cafe
- Camping anywhere down the Squamish Valley Road/ Elaho or Indian Arm
- Whistler is awesome but honestly if you can, go a bit further to Pemberton. Better biking and less crowds.
- The Beer Farmers in Permberton
- Camping along Lillooet Lake or Sloquet Hot Springs
On your way home, and I honestly can't stress this enough. Take the Duffy to Lillooet, then Hwy 1 (Fraser Canyon) to Hope.

What a cool trip - enjoy! If you come back through the Seattle area and want a good ride, hit up Tiger Mountain (fire road to the top and Side Hustle down).
And just like that Whistler is in the books! Squamish/Whistler was one of the best places I have ever visited let alone in the Defender. Post Canyon is definitely for mountain biking and it's amazing. I would also recommend the spot where I was for camping and watching the sunset (just up the hill from the main parking lot). Only about 15 min from town. I didn't do a ton of off-roading this trip so unsure of the good spots around there. Post Canyon did have fire roads that went all over but I didn't explore them and I am not sure any of them would really turn into "off-roading".
A second +1 for Watershed Grill in Squamish. It is great. Wings and poutine with an amazing view. Yes!

I ended up eating at Watershed the first night I was here and met an awesome guy who I biked a few times with and who showed me around. The food was great and hard to beat that view. Thank you for the rec!
