Has anybody researched using a battery tender on the 2020 Defender?

 

When I have put one on I just use the posts that are under the hood.

 

Which battery tender do you guys use? The brand with the same name? Battery tender? Since it is a mild hybrid, it does have a lithium ion battery too!

 

I have been using a Shumacher SC-1200A charger / trickle charger / conditioner for years, first on my RRS with flooded battery, then my LR4, and now the Defender with AGM. Never had any issues with it. It has a switch for flooded / AGM batteries and is fully automatic, switching from fast to trickle charge when necessary for long term storage/conditioning, and the other usual stuff (reverse polarity detection, overcharge protection, nicely sized clamps.) I don't even thinks it's manufactured anymore, the Schumacher SC-1280 must be its replacement, and it's probably even faster.
