Default Boot Compartment | Body Plug (Part Number)

In the boot of my Defender, there are two body plugs (left hand side) and I'm missing both of them, or have a slightly different plug in its place for one of the holes that I just cannot match or find. I've been trying to figure out which part number it would be to order a new one. Has anyone looked at these? Or could someone look in the back of their Defender to take a photo? Trying to get a better quality image/potential marking on it to map back to all the plugs available. The screenshot from a video below shows them, and they seem different to the plugs I have in my Defender.

Location: Boot, under the styrofoam. Left and side, two plugs one going horizontal, one vertical. Both are the same size. I've included a bad screenshot of where they are, plus a photo of the one I have (other one is missing... but the ones I have don't seem to match up to the plugs listed or to the low quality screen grab I have of someone elses boot.) Hoping to figure this out, as I've been avoiding water, knowing that this rear compartment is fully exposed and not sealed without these plugs.

Location of the two plugs in the rear compartment under the foam. From what I can see in this low quality video screen grab, these look VERY different from my plug.

Fully exposed hole to the ground. The plug I have does fit. It's 1.5 Inches long and 1.25 Inches wide

Top of the plug. 1.5 inches long, and 1.25 inches wide. But I have a feeling these are not the right plugs? I cannot match it to the Plugs shown for my vin.

Underside.

Here are the LR plugs shown for my vin. But cannot map it visually back to my plug. Hoping to see what other people have that might match back to the above. It's definitely not HM1. I ordered that, and it's too small.

Missing the same on mine, so strange to look through it to the ground. Closed them up with some tape. temp fix.
You could also use the HM1 with some hybride seal and glue it in place.

Fascinating that you are missing those plugs. Okay. Maybe it’ll just be a trip to auto zone. I’ve gone to two different dealer parts offices and they don’t know what plug it is. The HM1 is definitely too small. Falls right thru. Ordered a few of the plugs from JLR. Will see what fits and last resort will be a near fitting one and lots of duct tape.

I'd go with aluminum tape over duct - my experience has been it sticks better to metal and is actually more resistant to water.

Now I have to go check my Defender to see if any plugs are missing.

Edit: Thinking about it - are those supposed to be there and unplugged for drainage? Still seems like it'd be an issue when hitting the maximum wade depth...

When I was installing my rock sliders on my 2020 110, the factory had apparently run out of spacers to support the plastic trim behind the front wheel. So, they instead used a tie wrap in one of the locations.

Functionally it worked, but it told me they are not letting a few missing, small parts shut down the line in Slovenia.

Something to consider; it may apply in your situation.

Enjoy the adventure !

There were 19 if I recall correctly rubber drain plugs in the tub of my two door JK wrangler. I pulled them all and put them in a box in the garage. A lot more water got into the jeep through the open windows and missing doors over the years than ever would have come up through the floor boards. Anything that got in would just make its way to the nearest low spot and run right out. I did remove all the carpets and replace with hydrophilic rubber matting called Bedtred made for just such a purpose.

Of course the defender is sealed much better and I will plan on leaving my plugs in, assuming I got any in the first place!
