This is the 3rd time I’ve had a brake system failure in less than 2 years (photo).
Non-working systems include: cruise control, stability/traction control, terrain response, parking sensors, auto stop/start, lane keep assist, emergency braking, cross traffic alert, blind spot warning, parking brake, and of course generally crappy braking (pulling, ABS noises, inconsistent pedal pressure, pedal going to the floor(scary)).
First time dealer did a software update/reset. Lasted around 2 months.
Second time dealer replaced the ABS modulator and brake booster. Lasted around 12 months.
Third time - in for service now. I’ll let you know.
Dealer says this is a unique issue, and I’ve come up blank searching the internet. Anyone seen anything similar?

A friend of mine who did the brake caliper swap encountered similar problems.
Swapped back in the OEM calipers (with a shave to allow fitment of his 18" rims) and all was resolved.
An issue with the aftermarket calipers he'd had installed was the culprit.
Quick follow up:
The factory rear calipers were installed, but the computer is still spitting out error codes.
The dealer is “checking with corporate for how to proceed”, but they may void the warranty.
If so I’m looking at a $10,000 bill (ABS Modulator + Brake Booster).
Good times.
From my mate with same issue. Same or very similar.
dealer was useless. Aftermarket guy got it sorted.
quote from my pal. Fully resolved. My issue was the o-ring between the park brake actuator and the calipers. That o-ring comes with the aftermarket calipers.
The oring was leaking into the actuator and driving the ABS crazy.
We replaced the calipers back to OEM and a new actuator
Than Bryce did the full system flush through the computer procedure
Dollars to donuts the system has not been correctly bled.
I’d do that again myself first before writing any checks. Air in the system makes it go completely nuts.
You nailed it!
They couldn’t get the air out using the factory procedure of using some vacuum machine. But using the manual method got the air out (pumping the brake pedal while opening/closing the bleed valves).
So bottom line: the Lucky 8 brake calipers were letting air into the system.
Now, where do I get these “donuts” you’re talking about?

Glad you got sorted out. Good saving on the pants-on-head crazy fees the dealer was talking about.
If you're ever up in my neck of the PNWoods, I'll bring the beer, you bring the donuts.
