Noticed that my tail light was cracked most likely due to the car being reversed in to an obstacle. Luckily it was limited to just the taillight.
The awesome part of the defender's ownership experience is that genuine used parts are PLENTIFUL. I snagged a new rear camera for less than 80 pesos on eBay. Furthermore, on marketplace, I found a L/R set of taillight off a '23 110, for 150!!!! Stupid cheap.
replacing the right side is tedious and the upper black plastic trim panels are fragile, breaking upon removal. Epoxied that garbage all back together but having all that stuff off really makes me wonder why no one has designed a replacement for that entire corner that is metal, able to incorporate cheap off the shelf taillights, brighter reverse lights, and or a ladder..... Theres around 3-4 inches of space and plenty of area to mess around with. lots of strong mounting points. I could even imagine someone with a metal bumper and rear tire carrier being able to tuck that hinge really close to the body, reducing the overhang....
