More S trim seem to be on the lot these days. Was all Xs and other intermediate higher specs when I was ordering my SE.
I bought a base model 110 from the Tacoma dealership back in late March and was actually able to get a few thousand $ under list price. It was a customer order that they chose not to keep, and had actually been sitting on the lot for a week plus before I bought it. But obviously things have changed in the past 6 months.

Got mine in Boston metro back in July at MSRP...$59,715 sitting on the lot.

Didn't like paying full MSRP but feels like a steal now.

Anything is possible if you try hard enough. My newest 110 S was purchased for 1% off MSRP. This was mid-September.

Grind it out!

My first Defender in 2020 was 8% off msrp. The new one I bought in Aug 2021 was msrp+2500.
I was unable to buy from across state lines as next state dealer told me that they were not allowed to sell to out of state people.
My car was supposed to arrive on a Thursday but it arrived a few days earlier. The dealer called me and said if I didn’t come right away his manager was pressurizing him to sell it someone else. I had to go pick it up that day.
I m not sure what the true situation is but it looks like it’s a sellers market.
thanks

My Defender 90X was ordered by Dealer for their stock when I found it in April, purchased immediately for MSRP. Land Rover DFW in Grapevine, Texas ask for Sydney.

If I'm ordering a build, should I expect to pay MSRP? One dealer told me it would be a $5k markup on a build 5 months out. Is that typical?

My car gets here in 15ish days. Ordered in May with no deposit and no markup..... although I am slightly nervous they will try to change that.

Ask them to provide you the bill of sale so you can get your financing in order (regardless of how you intend to purchase). That way you will see exactly what they intend to charge you. My dealer did not add on any thing crazy but there were a few additional taxes/fees I was not aware about that caught me a little off guard.

Not off the lot but in May we ordered a fully loaded 110 with a sticker of 82k. Vehicle showed up in 3 months and we paid MSRP. No markup.

3 months is pretty quick. Was it an existing order that they were able to amend?
