Cabin Pre conditioning
I use mine all the time. Hot enough here in Florida to make it worthwhile, when interior temps of the vehicle get up to 120 degrees after sitting in the sun with the windows up. When I’m packing my beach gear up to head home, I use the remote start so that by the time I reach the parking lot, it is delightfully cool. Wish every one of my vehicles had that option.
Fellas cabin preconditioning I was told is a new feature that you don’t need remote start to do. Maybe I was told wrong, but I think it uses different or new technology to affect the climate without actually having to do a remote start. Correct me if I’m wrong.
That's for the PHEV only. They're not bringing that to the US are they? Porsche does an okay job with hybrid because they believe in them as the better option vs full EV but LR hybrids have been purely acts of compliance with dreadful specs.
EV battery pre-conditioning is meant to improve charge speed and range and it's not the same as cabin pre-conditioning. It does cabin pre-conditioning as well to get to desired temp while still plugged in so you don't have to eat a chunk of that 20-something mile battery range after you just spent 5 hours charging it.
