Default Camera view staying on screen

My 2024 Defender 110's screen shows the camera view(s) when I switch to reverse. However, when I switch back to drive, it continues to show the camera view until I hit the home button. I do have a hitch-mounted bike rack, so the car may think I'm towing something. I haven't been able to find a way to bypass this step and have it swich automatically from camera view once I'm no longer in reverse.

Did you take off the bike rack and check to see if that was it?

I did not remove the bike rack as the rack is really heavy (and wired for brake lights). But, I don't recall the camera view staying on the monitor prior to adding the bike rack.

I just was hoping there was a way to revert back to the home screen after reversing without having to actively hit a button.

If it's wired to the brake lights, then it thinks something is being towed and you'll need to manually move the screen away from the cameras.
At least that has been my experience while towing. The trailer light connection is the trigger, not the hitch. if you want to test the theory just unplug the connector and try it.

On my '23 without bike racks etc it does a similar thing. It just takes a little while for the camera to switch off. Longer than it used to. It seems longer since one of the recent pivi upgrades.

Thanks. That makes sense. I guess (other than manually hitting the home button every time) there's no workaround?
