Default can you change back up camera default settings

is there a way to get the back up cameras when going in reverse to default to the two outer cameras like this? you can see so much more this way, but I have to do it manually. It always goes back to the center camera the next time.

There is not. USDOT requires reverse cameras to be reverse cameras by default. Not 360° cameras, or peripheral cameras or 3D surround cameras. I agree it would be nice to set your preferences, but the law dictates what is the default. Luckily its just one tap of the screen to adjust the camera view.

those two outer cameras I have selected are not 360. they are just more like a fish eye wider field of view when backing up. it makes no sense to me why that would not be allowed as a default. you can see more of what is behind you when backing up

Correct. I mentioned you cannot set the the peripheral (fish-eye) cameras above along with the 360° and 3D surround cameras to be the default. I agree, it would be nice to have the peripheral cameras as a default, or pull a page from Porsche's book and have a reverse camera that actually moves with the steering angle.
