Default Collapsed wheel bearing

Purchased a 2020 Defender 110SE back end of August 2024. Two weeks ago a rubbing sound from n/s front wheel starts. Took to local LR dealer who could only book in for a 'check-over' in 10 days time. Returned home a phoned LR Assist who were out in an hour only to find the wheel 'about to drop off'. Vehicle recovered to LR dealer who have now reported the wheel bearing, hub and driveshaft all need replacing. On a vehicle that has only done 24600 miles.
Has anyone else had a similar issue? After having 7 Freelanders, 1 RR Evoque, 2 Discovery Sports and 2 RR Velars, all with no serious issues, my ultimate vehicle has come with a very nasty surprise! And guess what....I AM NOT HAPPY....

That is strange and sorry about your issue. This could have caused serious injury and luckily you found out. I hope your Defender is still under warranty.

LR Assist guy was so concerned that he arranged a low loader recovery. As for warranty, yes it is but we await a response from dealer as to what they will cover. I'm hoping all, or this could get nasty!

Glad to hear you are still under warranty. They should cover the whole job as none of the items you described are regular wear and tear items.
