Default Bad Wheel Bearing?

Just noticed yesterday as I was accelerating away from a stoplight that my driver's side front wheel is making odd noises. About 50% of the time when accelerating from a stop it will make a big CLUNK. You can hear it with the windows up and feel it. If I'm going 5mph or less you can hear creakcreakcreakcreakcreakcreakcreak every time the wheel rotates. I've also noticed that when going high speeds (70-80mph) there is more vibration in the steering wheel, ESPECIALLY when it's turned to the left. It's normal to the right, and it vibrates a little when straight. It doesn't really shake, just vibrates. Could this be a bad wheel bearing??

it would have to be a pretty bad wheel bearing/hub in order for you to hear or feel it. i would also think that if the hub was that bad it would be tripping an ABC code, just a guess but how about an axle shaft /CV joint.

If you get a rotational noise, yes either it is the brakes dragging or the hub assembly.
What have you checked for so far?

I haven't checked anything yet, I just wanted some possibilities. When its creaking, if I hit the brakes it stops.

Quit wasting both your time and ours and get out and lift up and inspect the hub and brake on that wheel. If it is the hub and you keep wasting time guessing you can run up a bigger bill when the hub lets go.

I'll do that. If I'm not mistaken, if the hub is bad, the wheel will wiggle back and forth?
