2020 Certified Preowned Defender X. Purchased recently and love it. The only cosmetic issue is on the horizontal silver-bronze grill trim piece that shows some kind of delamination on the left side as if it has a film applied. Does this trim piece come from the factory with a protective film; or does JLR use a colored film to achieve the slightly different color on the X trim? Thoughts?

@Defendit.. Yeah, I saw PowerfulUk’s video on this and he didn’t mention anything about a protective film on the bar. Maybe the previous owner added one. I will have to look closer. It isn’t horrible, the picture makes it look worse than it is. But still noticeable. Kinda a pain to replace. Requires removal of grill assemblies. Thanks

Hmm, I have an X as well with that ahem rather "unique" color trim, and mine does not have any film over it etc. I think it looks like it's failed. Warranty replacement or just replace it yourself. I had this thing off last year installing a bullbar and don't remember seeing any film etc on it.
