Sorry to hear of your incident. If it was just a light tap on the driveway,I would say there will likely be no frame damage. You may have gotten lucky with this one... Two options....
1) Throw it to insurance and let them have at it
2). Looking at that damage -- my quick thoughts...
Quarter Panel -- I bet you can PDR the rear quarter panel to be 95% good as new (you need an artisan, the type that does work on classic vehicle - not just a bodyshop or dealership PDR franchise guy). May be a little paint transfer but even that will clean up most likely.
Rear Corner -- Then a new upper corner piece. May be able to find used painted to match already to save paint.
Rear bumper lower corner piece -- easily replaceable, they come new gloss black from JLR so no painting
Wheel arch trim - looks like it's scuffed and running light / reflector is scuffed. The running light / reflector is not avail separately but the arches are cheap (and all over Ebay as ppl take them off to replace with the wide fender arches accessory parts). Just make sure if you buy a used one it doesn't have broken clips as they do break upon removal, even when new. Easily replaceable.
Just had another idea. You could try what Jedi @GavinC did and put the extended wheel arch flares on, it might cover up the creased area on the rear quarter
Again now I've seen better pictures. This can be done by a good Paintless dent repair guy. Don't underestimate them they have an whole Arsenal of tricks and tools .Will cost him serious time. Afterwards some painting has to be done in most cases.
I wouldn't worry to much.
They gave me around 72K. The car is worth more to them as a wreck at an auction, I guess. And the 27K estimate was not set in stone, there was always the possibility of additional supplemental claims by the body shop.
WOW! $72K for an 85kmiles 2020?? I would say you got more than enough to compensate for your aftermarket mods. I know you had time and sentiment invested in the car, etc, but I doubt you would get that money if you tried to sell or use as trade-in. If I were you I would be thrilled, put another $10k and buy a brand new one with 4 more years under warranty.

I actually bought a used one. 2020.5 Defender X in pristine conditions, with only 30K miles, so still under warranty, never driven off-road. Not quite as well equipped as my HSE was, but all the stuff that matters is there. Yes, that leaves me enough dough to buy new sliders and stuff.
It's not about the money though, it's mostly the idea of having to start modding from scratch all over again, after getting my car just the way I liked it... The thought of Installing a new set of sliders in my garage again makes me want to throw up a little.

"Those aren't the paint scratches you are looking for."
Congrats! Looks sweet. Are these wheels 20s? They look fantastic. I hear you on the mods and installation. I am mechanically "crippled", so can only imagine the work to install everything. The most I did was the fender flares and the hood decal. Those flares were a pain!

thanks @nashvegas ! very helpful, I agree I feel I may have gotten “lucky” with this. I also had the thought about the wide arch kit. I’m unsure how much of the dent will actually be covered but could be about the same cost as fixing.
@GavinC do you happen to have a post anywhere highlighting how much your wide arch kit covers up the body?
EDIT: never mind just found the Vulcan install video on YouTube, I think I will definitely go this route. thank you both!

this post is my installation. The scuff was just a narrow graze and was completely covered with ease. The wide arches can cover quite a bit of paint real estate.

umbertob: Sorry to hear about your incident, although glad that you are back in a Defender. Was wondering what tires you had on the previous Defender, also what tires are those on the replacement?
