i was thinking about getting the fitcam but ill check the OEM Land Rover one as well
I installed a Redtiger F9 4k dual dashcam using a hardwire kit. It records up to 24 hours when stationary. I’ve had zero battery issues.

The Redtiger hardwire kit includes a voltage monitor that will turn the dashcam off if the cars voltage drops too low.

The only visible cables are the short pieces that run to the sensor trim behind the rear view mirror.

Even if you do have nasty wires showing - you absolutely should have a dashcamera on your vehicle. I know this for very unfortunate reasons. Wires be damned. Get the camera.

Back in 2021, I was on the way back to my home (office) from picking up lunch at a local burrito joint on a road I drove regularly. Thats when a 15 year old, and her 15 year old passenger in a Volvo decided to not look right when trying to cross an intersection, wedged her 2 tons of Swedish (I guess Chinese now) steel under my rocker panel protection - whereupon my 37" tires ramped up her hood and flipped me over completing a complete 360' barrel roll. (I stuck the landing).
Thankfully, amazingly, nobody was hurt - but when it came time for insurance to get involved, thanks to the dash camera footage, I was found not at fault - my premiums didn't go up and I got the full payout for my custom built rig and in my opinion, staved off the army of lawyers that sometimes unfortunately follow these unfortunate events.

As others have stated, check out PowerfulUk for a variety of different harnesses and videos that make it easy to DIY. I took the opportunity of adding a DashCam to do my own red-neck ClearView. If you don't have it, or they F'd up the build like mine, it's a backyard mechanic way of not having to rewire the entire OEM set up. Ymmv but if interested: Link.

I just visited the dealer, Cost to install is 2 hours labor ($400+) if there is a lead near the mirror. If not could be 4 hours! lol.

Ouch! Did mine using the PowerfulUK harness. Found their install video on their website. Pop off the trim around the rear view mirror, install the wiring harness, mount the camera, reinstall the trim piece. Well under two hours, way under $400.

I was close to moving forward with the LR unit, but decided to give this one a try instead. Seems like a very clean install. It won't be here for a couple of weeks, but I'll post pics when I'm done.

let me know how it goes… I think I’m going to go with this one as well… the OEM, based on the website won’t work on my 2025 130.

I have the OEM one installed on my 24 130. I pulled it from my D5 before it headed to the junk yard. I asked LRDFW if they still had the OEM camera available but they mention some states will not allow the sale anymore. A bit surprised about that. Anyways install was straight forward and a bit easier than the D5. No issues since it was installed. Purchased from LRParts.net back in 2022.
