Does yours also have the rear camera? If so, PM me the asking price.

For those of you with FitcamX units, I just ran into a problem that you should know about. While the wife was driving, I needed something to keep me occupied so I logged into the FitcamX unit. I thought I would check the recent files and just make sure that everything was functioning properly. To my surprise, all the file recordings were only 1 second long. A quick Google search yielded a suggestion to format the memory card. This did resolve the problem, but what about long-term? I reached out to FitcamX support via email and was told that my firmware needed to be upgraded. My old firmware ended with 20241227. The new firmware ends in 250522.

With luck, the issue will be resolved. Once the memory card is full, the system should overwrite the oldest file (FIFO) and continue on as normal.

That's weird as this is a setup in my similar to ficamx camera. I just can log and change the settings to make it up to 3 minutes. However, I always like to keep it 1 minutes as it easier to download if needed.

Default Parking mode wiring

Gents, anyone can help with wiring the dashcam to the fuse box (ACC, B+, and ground) to enable the parking mode motion detection?

Thanks in advance.

I used this tap-in loom from Powerful UK to wire Viofo A139 (with additional in-line fuses on ACC and B+ wires): Dash Cam Power Tap-In Loom for Overhead Console for Land Rover Defende – Powerful UK

Well, I found that the second unit had the same problem the hard way - after the accident; the last segment of the video was corrupted.

On a tangent, today I realized that I'm ready to upgrade from Garmin Dash Cam 57 - it's OK as a reminder and landmark collector, but when I saw fax crossing the street less than 100ft ahead, and on the camera I could only see it at x0.5 speed and only because I knew it was there and it was a fox - well, that was the last straw. For the reference, it was set to 1080p 60fps - and everything was lost in compression artifacts.

I'm sure this question was answered a zillion times already, but things are moving fast and past answers don't necessarily hold true - what's the camera today that would capture most details, preferably at 4K, at 60fps or above?

Purchased the OEM front/rear camera setup and took it to the dealership for install. After negotiating a lower price for the install, I received a call the following day informing me that the tech managed to crack my windshield while disassembling the A-pillar trim. Unclear exactly how this happened, but the replacement windshield arrived and scheduled to be installed today. Fingers crossed the cameras work and there are no issues with the windshield.

Default OEM dash cam

I have the OEM one and it’s been working for about 4.5 years if I remember correctly. It cost me I think about a grand total camera and installation at the dealer in Pompano Beach, Florida.
