Well, if they work as poorly as my auto-high-beams then I'd see why they need more stringent tests. My high beams can't seem to figure out if I've got a reflective sign in front of me or an oncoming vehicle.... either way its turning off my brights.... then it won't turn them on because there's a streetlight 500 yards down the road... SMH.

Matrix headlights sound like one of those cool things that should make the driving experience better - but it also sounds like something that would get my blood boiling if it didn't work properly and ended up getting me a bunch of oncoming traffic flashes....

Will be a nuisance hunting down spares when the DRLs on them fail. Perhaps after warranty goes, there will be enough breakers yards stocking them that it won't matter. Simpler and cheaper is best when it comes to these headlights.

I wonder have they beefed up the rear hollow shocks. These and the DRL's are a bad design.

The sh1tty little Citroën I rented in the UK last summer had matrix headlights. Absolute game-changer. I was always aware of the tech, but never experienced it until then. Wow, it’s incredible. If a $29k nasty little French econobox can have perfectly working matrix lights, JLR certainly can.

also, if you’re still under warranty, try having your auto high beam assist recalibrated. Mine works perfectly all the time - that being after I had the ACC calibrated at the dealer after I had it activated. Definitely worth a try for sure.

Also they have decided FINALLY to put the MAX button in white above the A/C button -- to match the Defrost above, which I always thought was odd to be “hidden” on my 2020. You had to know the “secret long push” to see it go “MAX” to see MAX appear in yellow... Maybe they changed that sometime before 2026 though, I’m unsure.

I just can't seem to like 13.1 inch screen.

OEM 13": Screen top stays same with 11" so it does not block our slim AC vents. However, it's too low and in my driving position, a portion of bottom left is hidden behind the shifter ****.

Aftermarket 13": it stays same bottom like with 11" but it too high and block slim AC vents.

I think 11" screen is in the sweet spot.

I too prefer small screen. I turn it off at night. Less light is best.

I can’t stand the look of the Tesla-esque big screens. Look like they’ve been added as an afterthought. Flush with the dash is best.

folks love big screens though.

whay not just go all out and bolt a 55” TV screen in there. Bigger is better. Same for rims.

I think I'll love the 13" size, gear **** probably won't be in that much of the way. Apple CarPlay is going to look so good!

I'm guessing that since it wasn't mentioned in the press release that Pivi Pro is still the same as 2020-25 models? Apple CarPlay Ultra probably would need newer/fast hardware for it. I know most manufactures are years away from it being standard or even supported.

@H1Tad
I have the Matrix headlights in my current Defender and also had them in my RRS before. They are absolutely brilliant. You put them on “auto” when you first buy your car and just never bother with lights again.

Yes, it appears that Pivi Pro is still going to be the same. As I mentioned in a previous thread, JLR was one of the first manufacturers to announce CarPlay Ultra compatibility. Not sure when it will be available, but it definitely will.

Lights are a major disappointment. BMW lazers wer fitted with an option to "anti-dazzle" and they are amazing.

11" inch screen I feel already block the vents too much.

Happy with gwandana stone, but I would have loved the new green. Given some of the other exterior changes, very content with the 2025.5.

And thanks for the tip on the Max AC. Three weeks and hadn't looked into how it worked. Frustrating.
