Default Deezer & Spotify

I'm setting up my apps. Spotify, as always, is simple and the free data is wonderful.

I've never had Deezer but I'm going to give it a try. I asked them a couple of days ago if the HiFi plan (better quality audio available on some devices) is compatible with the Defender but no response yet.

Anyone able to answer that or have other opinions on Deezer?

I have been using Deezer from the Velar days .... and I am also using it on the DEF. It is pretty decent, and it is also free. I am too cheap to pay for Spotify
Over all, I find whatever music I like, and no complaints...
Quality, audio - decent. Not bad at all actually.

I prefer Spotify for normally spot-on Daily Mixes, Deezer for audio quality (paid subscription for both) - although even the above average Meridian Surround system of the Defender is nowhere near the quality where you could hear a substantial difference between an uncompressed and a higher quality, compressed file (which is most likely what Deezer streams to the native Pivi Pro app.) If I had to keep just one service it would probably be Spotify as I like the interface better, but both services have their strengths. Of the 3 native Pivi Pro app, I actually like TuneIn Radio the most (free subscription), I use it to stream my favorite internet radio stations - Radio Paradise, KCRW Eclectic, etc - the majority of the times.

I used a tool called musconv. It's really great.

I ordered a 2024 D110 X on 13 April 2024. I was given an update yesterday with a last date to make changes to the build is 24 April 24. Scheduled build date is 07 June 24 and estimated delivery is 16 August 24. So roughly 4 months expected. They told me 7 months when I ordered. I’m in Southern California.

I haven't used Deezer, but I do enjoy the integrated Spotify app. I don't use it as much anymore, as I primarily stream with Tidal via the USB port. Plus, if you're in an area with low to no cell reception, the Spotify app in the Pivi system won't work.
