Default Defender base sound system

I have a Defender with the base sound system and have read it described as “6 speakers, 180 watts”. I downloaded a service manual for the Defender it describes the base system as being 7 speakers which includes a subwoofer that looks to be under the front seat/center console. It may just be a difference between the US and UK model but I was wondering if it’s actually there as I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the low end of the base system. If it’s not there does anyone know if the US base amp would allow for adding the subwoofer?

I went peaking under the passenger seat by removing the panel over the navigation system module and there is a subwoofer under the seat. However, it's not powered. There was no vibration while music was playing when I touched it. I wonder if it's truly a 7 channel amp and the sub just needs to be plugged in or if the US version is a 6 channel amp?

Could you state what vehicle you have and what country you are from?

Where did you mount the Amp?

Great looking install. Looking to do similar.
