Defender MY25 OCTA Parts
This is not the case - the front and rear quarter panels and the rear doors are completely different to the standard car. Yes, the fenders are tacked on, but according to my friend who was on the engineering team of the OCTA, they have special connectors built into the fenders underneath the flares - they have a different manufacturing process compared to the standard ones. You will not be able to directly attach the fender flares to a standard car. Also, the fuel door is one piece of metal - the part that flares out isn't tacked on. It is quite interesting that they'd go that far to cast a completely different fuel door than to just stick on a flare.
Also the OCTA is much more than a Defender with a widebody kit. The suspension is completely different. Not only does it have the 6D Dynamic suspension that uses hydraulics in the place of the anti-roll bars, the knuckle, wishbones and bushings are exclusive to OCTA. The air springs are the same, however. OCTA also has an additional support beam/crash bar behind the front bumper, something the standard car doesn't have.

JLR, like all OEMs, will save money wherever they can and reuse as much tooling as possible from existing platform. what they tell the public is not necessarily accurate. Porsche have the same issue with their GT cars, they just make the GT car parts prohibitively expensive. I would expect many OCTA parts can be made to made to fit with minimal modification - time will tell.
I got this information from one of my friends who is a development engineer at JLR, and his team specifically worked on the body structure of the vehicle. This information wasn't explicitly stated by JLR. He told me that the front and rear quarter panels and rear doors are bespoke to OCTA. He is a reputable source, and everything he has told me about the OCTA has been true.
But stuff like mudflaps, fender flares, front and rear bumpers etc. will not directly fit on the standard cars.

Potentially - the OCTA has a different front crash bar that the standard vehicle doesn't have. The people from the JLR UK press office (who were extremely knowledgeable - most PR people I've come across know jack **** about the vehicles they are promoting) on-site at Goodwood told me that the OCTA has an extra steel crash bar behind the front grille. I was able to see it behind the grille and couldn't tell of the front grille/bumper was attached to this structure or not. If it is, then it will not fit a standard car as far as I'm aware. I did ask if all Defenders would be getting the crash bar for MY25, and that was something they couldn't confirm at the time.

JLR has a track record of spending money on low-volume products, and OCTA is no exception. You also have to keep in mind that manufacturers plan ahead, and the factory is already tooled for futured variations and special editions that are different to the core offering.

We'll see when the parts catalog is released. Either way the Chinese/Chelsea/Hunters Prestige will copy it and make it work with the existing trucks.
I assume all the suspension parts if better for off-roading will be fitted without 6D components.
