Market is baseline crazy right now. For example, an upscale exotic dealer near me received on trade, a Gondwana 2021 First Edition 90 with 3,000 miles - although used, it was listed and sold for its original MSRP (sold for $69k in less than a week).

A Land Rover dealer in a neighboring state has a Trophy Edition (no winch) and has "call for price" listed on their website. Feel "lucky" for not only getting my Trophy with a winch, but at MSRP.

Yep - nearby dealers to me are charging $10k markup on all new Defenders. Two of the three Trophy editions in the region went for $20k over MSRP and were sold in less than a week (I was watching their online listings). I feel lucky I got the third at $10k markup, heh.

Does yours say trophy edition in that space between the dash and the hood?

I test drove it recently - agree with other posters…the wrap is a total joke! The quality is terrible - with light use its going to get all torn up and look awful. You’re literally paying almost $20k premium for a crap paint job.

Purchased a trophy this past weekend. First post, please don't flame me, I'm old and not that smart.

I could be wrong by my vin number is unique in that it starts with SALEXXVIN# (XX being my unique number) -- Perhaps this is there way of showing X out of 220???

Dealer was asking $50k over. I bought it for $20k over, negotiated out most of the crap from finance department, and took it home. Didn't even realize the wrap was a $15k option until I looked closer at the sticker and starting reading this thread. Ooops!!

The big question is, was it worth it? Hell no. $35k for a wrap job and options you can already get?

<<< Am I happy? TOTALLY >>>

About the wrap job - Being that I wrap ever single vehicle I own, I thought the factory wrap job was in EXCELLENT condition. Wraps are never perfect. If anything, you just need to push those edges down while the vehicle is new. Plus, if I keep the damn thing 5 years I guarantee you the wrap will look better than any normal paint job. Plus, it is super unique and I'll never see anyone in my area driving another trophy, except the other guy that bought the only other one the dealer has. Super unique. Worth $35k no but f*** it, full send, going to NC. See you all there....

I'll be there 10/13-10/15. The weekend slot wasn't available when I registered.

@trophy - are you going to PPR your wrap to keep it longer? This is my first vehicle with a wrap and I want it to last a long time but also recognize they are consumables.

Maybe if we collectively bargain we can convince JLR to send Trophy edition owners a spare wrap to replace it in 5-7 years when it no longer looks good .

I just had the full body of my Trophy wrapped in EXPEL PPF and topped with an EXPEL ceramic coating to protect the vinyl wrap and the rest of the rig. I also inquired about replacement Trophy wrap panels in case of accident or damage (confirmed they are currently available).

Love the Trophy edition colors. In fact, there's a lot of the wrap colors I like. I've never wrapped a vehicle so all of this remains fascinating to me. However, when I hear of the costs of a wrap, then a PPF on top of it, then another thing on top of that I think: wouldn't it be cheaper to just paint it after a certain point? Those of you who have done the math, when does it become cost neutral and just become preference (ability to change color/remove vs. paint durability).

My preference would be to just get a replacement wrap now (as a backup) so that I can have it done again in 5-7 years. I would maybe consider doing PPF on the front and rear bumpers to fully protect it, but then let the trophy wrap act as a protector/barrier in addition to the unique style.
