Craig, please let me know how much the replacement vinyls cost. Also, I hope to see you in Ashville.

Thinking about doing the same. The big concern are the panels with the etched logos - I believe the rest of the panels could be color matched by any reputable wrap shop. Would hate to find myself in a situation in which I need to replace and they were not longer available.

Per my dealer, looking at $850 for the driver and passenger side door panels with the etched logo (cost for the pair). The front quarter panels also have the etched Union Jack (don't know the price for these). I believe any reputable wrap shop could color match the rest of the wrap, but not sure. Thinking hard about purchasing a complete wrap to have for a backup...seems overkill, but would hate to be in situation a few years down the road in which I needed to replace and no longer available.

I will be in Asheville Weds-Fri of that week, looking forward to it!

Not sure I get the premium for The Trophy Edition. A premium might be more deserving for The Trek Edition. Anyway, to each their own......enjoy!!!!!!

Was at dealer today ordering snorkel and lunch box, my sales contact was literally getting call after call at his desk while I was waiting there re: New Defender. They are estimating new defenders to arrive in December now, all current and inventory on incoming trucks sold. With chip shortages, etc. I would suggest buying the model of defender you want (P300/400 90/110) etc and then customize. Let the truck find you vs. you finding the truck . The trophy simply found me...

How long of a wait for the lunchbox and snorkel? Also, December 2022 I’m assuming?

That’s wild.

Dealer had plenty of snorkels but only (1) lunchbox. I'm having it painted from silver to black and mounted by dealer (I'm scared to see costs).

Winch is another deal. That seems to be a S* show. However I'm going to work some magic and get it done.

Check out my Trophy Project Page- Would love it if you add comments, etc. and help me choose options and avoid mistakes. I'm new to LR so this is my first time modding an English vehicle. I come from german stuff like lifted rally lifted VWs, old BMW motorcycles, etc. This is my first "modern" car with electronics and about a billion sensors. As my son says, "we have air conditioning and our roof doesn't leak now" and "dad, you know we camp out of a trophy truck" -- lol. My VW would destroy any Jeep out there, drives like a dream on dirt, but good luck going over 80mph anywhere.

They are about as English as tater tots. Made in Slovakia these days in a factory cleaner than most homes.

That’s quite a claim. Maybe you were just being hyperbolic, but if serious, I’d love to see details about your VW. I don’t remember ever seeing a VW of any description on any off-road trail in Utah, AZ, CO, NV, or CA, so I’m very interested in what you’ve done and to what vehicle.

Coincidentally, I was just served this story about VW possibly bringing back the IH Scout (who knew).

This is the most lame apocalypse ever but we're getting all these off-road toys. What a weird timeline.
