Defenders on secondary market
I think there might be misconceptions out there that there is a massive mismatch between the supply of Defenders and the demand and also that LR is somehow struggling more than other manufacturers with supply chains. I don't think there's much of a dislocation -- sure, it sucks to have ordered one only to have the dates shift and some features get deleted. However, people who order Defenders tend to be even more enthusiast-oriented and perhaps then more likely to hang onto a vehicle that has been personalized. I'm not sure how many more Defenders would be sold if there were no constraints on supply chains. At any given time, I can see several Defenders that I'd buy from local inventory. Yes, you've got to move quickly, and yes, the price is going to be high; however, that's a near universal phenomenon right now.
That I could sell mine for above sticker means next to nothing to me -- I bought it with the expectation of hefty depreciation and more service than the average comparably priced car!
I find this table illustrative... LR sales are up YoY, many other manufacturers look way worse off when it comes to delivery issues.
My D90S order is under $65K, which I hope will be just enough to lift me from my previous peasant lifestyle into the aspiring Yeomanry.
When did you first reserve the Bronco, and when did you order the D90, if I may be so bold to ask?
ordered the bronco first hour available then saw it in the metal in July and did not like it. Ordered the D90 the next day, so around mid July.
I ordered a color-matched rattle can of it for my son to see if he liked that color before he rolled his order to a '22. It's hideous. Nothing like the pictures at all. It has a strong gold fleck base and, of the 2 dozen people who have seen the sample in person, all have said it would be their dead-last choice.
Pictures show a mallard color. It's not. But, then again, go see how "off" the reds are in person.
He's 16 btw. I offered to order a 90 for him. Strong no. His opinion of my 110 is "nice Jeep old man".
In other words, he says you're old and you overpaid for some Lucky8 accessories.
okay boomer! Bwahahaha!
I'm assuming you haven't seen Eruption in person because it doesn't exist yet aside from a few mannequins.

I see way more Defenders in Dallas than Broncos unfortunately 🤨. I’m sure that will change if they have fixed the Bronco production issues. Having said that I don’t really see these two as comparable vehicles.
