Incredible to see all these photos of defenders being used and enjoyed as intended. So very cool. Where I’m from, defenders are for hauling groceries back from Whole Foods and not much else.

Really inspired by everyone’s fantastic photos.

Great fun today with a good bunch of folks and a wide range of cool rigs.

PCRC (Pacific Coast Rover Club) “Rover Rendezvous” Trail Run Saturday May 30 - Millersylvania State Park, just south of Olympia WA with some offroading near Chehalis, WA. Great fun.

This was the weirdest obstacle ever known to man

As usual the bloodhound’s least favorite part of the day is the air up / air down noisy compressor in her space.

Did the equipment operator just leave that boom grabber(?) on the trail like that?!? Do you think they were like "5:00!! F' it, I'm out a here" or do you think they were intentionally trying to block the forest road? I chuckle about people's F' you attitude a lot in life. "I got mine". So, I don't know if this is another failure of humanity or if I should fist bump you all for being miscreants and doing the trail anyway! I'm hoping the later and pessimistically thinking the former.

Probably intentionally blocking the road. The logging crews, and companies seem to get carte-blanche on blocking roads once they have a lease. Some cool trails and hikes can be rendered inaccessible, sometimes with locked gates. Sadly it's usually related to morons damaging their equipment or dumping trash, rather than the loggers being malicious. Thankfully it's rare that tracks get blocked in WA but there's a couple I really like that are now pretty much closed to vehicles.

Perhaps not in this case. I dunno.

It's funny to see that when @GavinC started this thread, it was him and I out for first time. I'm reality, it was only the second time I had my L663 off road. On Saturday, @GavinC help me break in the Quartermaster off-road. I wanted to get over 1k on engine and transmission. before taking it off-road.

At the end of the day, the group all stopped to try a climb. Here are videos that shows how each one accomplished the goal. We have Gavin in his Defender, QM(I was center and rear lock), the new LC Pardo, and a Disco 5 with only center lock.

Cool stuff. Straightforward bit of climb but was fun.

I sort of cheated. Was playing with my ATPC. Just popped it on at about 4mph or something and had a little nap. It's a fun bit of tech.

Haven’t been in that area in 20 yrs as we are now primarily Durango-centric. Might have to expand our territory. 🥃
