Lessons learned from this: Be an informed buyer; do your research and read all you can about any product you intend to purchase; ask lots of questions and request documentation beforehand and during purchase and read the build sheet and window sticker; don’t assume anything. These builds have been a dynamic, ever changing situation, beginning with the pandemic and continuing post-pandemic. While awaiting my delivery, I downloaded the manual in PDF and read it cover to cover. I wanted to know all about the Defender in order to utilize its full capabilities and features. Upon pickup, I knew more about the vehicle than the salesman, which is sad because every time I dropped by during the process, I would find my salesman sitting at his desk doing not much else. As a salesperson I would make it my goal to know everything about the vehicle I was selling. At handover, as he was giving me a quick rundown of operations, I felt like I was teaching him things he wasn’t even aware of.
