Default Electrical Fault Warning

I'm getting an Electrical Fault Detected warning.

23.3 110 V8
9,000 miles

It seems to be triggered by the Auto Start/Stop feature. When the car turns off with that feature within a few minutes the warning comes on. Once the engine is back on, warning goes away. I'm 900 miles away from home, seems like I should be OK to make it back as long as I keep that auto start/stop OFF. Has anyone had any experience with this issue?

Check the battery and make sure it is ok. A weak battery could cause all kinds of messages. Let the dealer deal with it and fix it.

I just got the same warning yesterday while driving home.

2024 Defender 110 SE
3100 Miles

Went through the forums to see what others had done, and tried :
1. Made sure alternator belt was not broken,
2. Verified that battery has full charge
3. Drove around neighborhood for15 minutes - warning still there
4. Tried turning auto start/stop off - warning still there

Looks like I'm going to have to take it to dealer.

There is a 'service action' on the starter generator - think it's a software patch. N846. See link below. Others with this issue have found this resolves it.
