I need to replace my windshield at some point, but not urgent yet. The Newport Beach dealership just quoted me $2,700 for a replacement for my 2022 Defender HSE. I asked if that was a tariff related price and was told no, that’s just what they cost. I will call around to other dealerships but has anyone received a more reasonable quote? Thanks all.

 

An OEM windshield us usually between $1500-$1800 depending on if its heated, has a HUD and if it has the solar attenuating film. Dealer labor rates are higher than your average. In 2023, I paid a little over $2300 for a windshield replacement at my dealer. That was $1900 in parts and $400 in labor. My insurance covered it, and reimbursed me. If you have glass coverage, you shouldn't have to pay anything, or they'll reimburse you.

Mine is heated, has no HUD, and has the solar attenuating film. Price was $1687.25 for just the windshield. The other ~$350 was in primer and glass sealant.

 

I had my windshield replaced by Safelite ~2 weeks ago and it was $1,033. I didn’t file an insurance claim. Heated windshield, non HUD, solar attenuating, non-OEM glass.
