Default Expedition rack question

I’ve noticed the front section of my expedition rack has come a little loose. You can push up and down on it and get a tiny amount of movement. In looking at it I can’t figure out how to tighten. It looks like it ties into the main section of the rack where the foot is but these racks come pre-assembled. Any one have any ideas?

Loosen the front rail and either move it back or take it off and you’ll see a couple of bolts that connect the front piece which you can easily tighten. It doesn’t take long.

Just be careful when loosening the front rail as those use security torx screws. I don't have the size off hand but it was a PIA trying not to strip it as they initially do not wanna budge. ended up gently taping the bit with a hammer to seat it properly to loosen. Bought my expedition rack second hand and the front was loose as well. Tightening the 2 bolts hidden by the front rail did the trick.

I had the same issue, but the movement was too big to be fixed with just the screws. I took off the front bit completely and wrapped the bits that stick in the roof rack with some masking tape before tightening the screws.
