I have an older Thule box and it fit better without the lift. I bought those parts from Powerful UK but took them off because the only point of contact was the bar and without them the flat part of the box rests on the other rails. This an older Thule Box can not recall how old.
Nice setup! I’ve tried purchasing the Powerful UK extenders but they are perpetually out of stock. (We have the Thule box that will require the attachment bars to be elevated…)
2 summers of camping trips with the roof box and my cheap-as-chips mod and it's going strong. No problems whatsoever. Box is solid up there, on road and off.
