Lightbulb Expedition roof rack vibration noise around 65-70 mph

Hi there, I'm wondering if you experienced pretty laud vibration noise (presumably caused by wind) from the front part of the expedition roof rack. I hear it consistently when speeding above 65 mph, and it lasts normally below 30s. It gets triggered more easily when there is a turbulence. I'm not sure which part of roof rack is vibrating. Thx!

Thx, I did try adding locking washers (the split ones) to the bars. And it did solve the issue

Hello, what size of the split locking washers did you use? I'm currently having the terrible vibration noise with my expedition rack and believe I now have to go this route. I already tried tightening the various fasteners, and checking the rubber strips on the crossbars, but the noise didn't go away.

The front element of the rack can and does become loose from corrugations, bumps etc.

Mine became loose to the point of causing a rattle. I tightened up the super skinny aluminum self-threading screws but the problem eventually came back worse than ever and the screw was now shot.

I toosed the screw, widened the screw hole, and placed an M6 rivnut through the two components. Better than new. Rattle gone.
