Default Heated Seat and Steering Wheel Question

Is there a way to have the heated seats and steering wheel come on when the vehicle is remote started in low temperatures?
My other vehicles all have this feature with remote start and I can't find a way to do this on my 24 Defender 110 X-Dynamic SE.
Thanks gents for your help!

Sadly, I can confirm that there is not a way to automatically have either come on.

(which is dumb of JLR, I would agree)

That is dumb not to have it come on. I believe that JLR should be able to offer that option with remote start!

Wow... That is quite an oversight on a luxury vehicle equipped with a cold climate pack, heated seats, steering wheel, etc.
Virtually every vehicle I've owned that had remote start had this feature, including my current ram truck (2019 MY).

Maybe this is something that can be programmed/activated with a GAP/programming tool??

This sticks out like a sore thumb right now because of the extreme cold we're having this winter!

I'm new here. I looked at a 2025 Defender this weekend and I was told that Land Rover does not do remote start but they have an app that will pre-condition the car with heated seats/wheel. He didn't know what that app costs or if it was on a yearly/monthly basics. Can anyone confirm if this info was truthful?

The app that he was talking about does have remote start and can heat up/cool down the car. It doesn't activate the heated seats or steering wheel. Only the temperature. It is included for four years and after that it is $70 a year.

Not sure if there are new features for the 2025.

I just purchased a new 2024 over the weekend. On the 2024, the app does "pre-condition" the car to a prescribed temperature. It does so by remote starting the car..lol. You set the desired temp in the app.
It does NOT turn on the heated seats or steering wheel as far as I can tell which is unfortunate. My salesman said that it remembers your last settings. I tried this, and it does NOT remember heated seat or steering wheel settings when it relates to remote "conditioning".
I did observe the heated seat came back on after a re-start following a brief stop for fuel, but the heated steering wheel did not.

This is true; it does remember the last set temperature on the app. What I mean by this is that if you use the app to warm the cabin to 75° it will remember that next time you use the app. However, it won't remember what temperature the climate control was set to. So basically if you set the app to warm the car to 75° and the climate was set to 67° when you were driving before you used the remote start, the climate control will revert back to 67° once the brake is pressed and everything turns on.
