ASC is around $5000 for a five-year, 100k mile extended warranty vs $6000 for the equivalent LR-branded Safeguard warranty. Of course, prices are usually negotiable. Plus the ASC has no deductible and all parts & labor is included. I haven't bought it yet - I will in six weeks when my warranty is about to expire. I'm friends with the finance manager at my JLR dealer and he gave me a great price on the ASC warranty - $3700 for the five-year, 100k and $4100 for the maximum eight-year 120k option. My dealer has been using ASC for a little over a year and so far they have not had a single problem trying to get something covered. At $5000, I would consider it, but at $3700, its a no-brainer.

Is ASC the name of the warranty company? I tried googling it but the only things that come up are your posts on this forum. Is this a warranty company just offered by your local dealer?

Yes, ASC is the name of the company, but it can only be purchased at select dealers that work with ASC, and not directly to customers. Any dealer/indy shop should accept ASC and will have to contact them to get repairs claimed. If you want to buy it, you'll have to find a dealership that sells it. You can call ASC directly to help find a selling dealer.
