Same, I use the apple watch to start & unlock the doors within seconds of me pressing the button. incredibly handy when keys are tucked away in a backpack.

 

so one thing to check/try is figure out how well charged your battery is. I’ve got the CTEK version of the Land Rover OEM branded charger / maintainer, and upon first use it was surprising how much charge it took to fully top up despite using ours most days. We were nowhere near fully charged, and defenders do seem to benefit from a well-charged battery.

 

get those 12v adapters/splitters with voltage readout, you'll notice how weird is charging system on Defender.
It would never charge battery fully.

 

Thanks for the feedback, makes me feel better that it does work for some. I live in a mountain area with poor cell coverage so that's got to be the culprit. I'm due for service soon so I'll just ask LR if they do remote starter installs and just save the app for when I'm in city environments.
